FAITH/VALUES IN SESSION?
I generally ask my clients about their support system, which could include family members, friends, folks at work, support groups, religious affiliation, faith, or values system.
For some folks, their religion or spirituality is a large part of their life.
For other folks, religion or spirituality is not part of everyday life, nor is it an area of concern.
For some folks, their faith, traditional or otherwise, is defined and for others this is not the case.
I believe our lives express a value system, whether or not we have formally defined it to ourselves. In the course of bringing ourselves into balance, it is helpful to be able to define
our value system, so that we can recognize if we are in alignment
with it or not. Mental, Emotional, Behavioral Health may be achieved
through a variety of skills and clarification of values.
This message is to let you know that if you do or don't have a preference, with regard to your faith or spirituality, that will be honored.
